Bai Ming, deputy director of the International Market Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce, said that this will be a new step in promoting China-ASEAN strategic partnership and a positive result in promoting new achievements in China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation. “If the choice of platform users is larger, there are more development opportunities.Bai Ming believes that the cross-border e-commerce platform will be upgraded through the participation of well-known e-commerce, which will facilitate the enterprises in ASEAN countries to fully utilize the e-commerce platform to conduct business.

"The development of China's e-commerce is the future of ASEAN e-commerce." Wang Jian, a cross-border e-commerce research expert and professor of the University of International Business and Economics, said that the economies of ASEAN and China have strong complementarities and similarities in national conditions. At present, e-commerce in the ASEAN market is slowly emerging, but the development of e-commerce China is a more head start. China must have the responsibility to lead the development of China- ASEAN cross-border e-commerce, especially the formulation of relevant rules.

At present, the goods of the seven ASEAN countries are sold on the platform, covering more than 1,000 kinds of commodities such as food and vegetables, daily necessities, health products, etc., providing a convenient and efficient channel for the ASEAN national characteristic industry to enter the Chinese market. Nowadays, the cooperation between China and ASEAN is not limited to the above fields. In the fields of manufacturing, tourism and service industries, the two sides have begun to dock and can fully meet the individual needs of consumers. In the future, it will form a new highland of economic opening up with three industries integration development, manufacturing and service industry "two-wheel drive" and service "Belt and Road".
